This is the perfect starting place for anyone looking to get into relational wound work, whether you’ve been in therapy before or not.

Not for people who have current church/religion wounds as this has lots of scripture in it and may feel overwhelming or unhelpful.

Only recommended for clients who are currently in therapy and have several supports/coping skills in place or clients that are willing to read this slowly to prevent overwhelm.

Overall a great resource, but I do not endorse everything that is said in this book; take what you like and leave what you don’t.

Never been to therapy before? This book is an open letter to both therapists and clients alike, helping people understand the importance and value of therapy, but also outlines what to expect. It may be helpful if you aren’t sure whether or not therapy is for you.
